Where did my steering go?
I have a steering problem. I have a 2006 Jeep LJ with Currie steering.
First, I have checked everything I could and it is tight. Before this problem, there was a little play my steering wheel, but not as much as now.
The problem is that when I turn the steering wheel to the left, it doesn’t “reallyâ€

I used to have less than 1/8 of a turn, but now its 1/4.
The pitman arm is tight and it moves after the quarter turn of the steering wheel.
I ordered a new drag link end just to eliminate any issues with it wearing out. It (Currie end) wont take grease anymore (???), so I'll keep it as a spare.

It's easy to identify the problem!
Get someone to sit in your jeep and start it. Then, slowly turn the wheel to the left and right about 1/4 turn. You stand in front of the jeep and look under the front end at:
The lower track bar mount to see if the bushing or sleeve is shot, or the bolt is loose.
The Upper track bar mount to see if the bolt is loose.
The track bar to see if it is bent.
The pitman arm to see if it, or the steering box has play.
The drag link and tie rod ends to see if any of those bushing are shot.
If all these items check out, then check your PS fluid to see if it's low
If that's not it re-check your alignment.
If that's not it, well, it's a jeep, good luck. 😯

Thanks for your ideas, they are good. I have checked most of this stuff myself and with Justin. I have a new Currie drag link end comin in a day or two. Is the steering box adjustment a last option, or can I turn it a bit and see what happens?
Fun Fact:
I noticed that my left turn signal doesn't go off because I don't turn back to center anymore, so I have to MANUALLY turn it off...OH the humanity!

You can try to adjust the steering box, but only do it a very little bit at a time. If you make it too tight you'll loose return-to-center after making turns. I did this and it got to be very disconcerting.
Your turn signal/centering issue still sounds like a bent trackbar. It doesn't have to be bent much to make a big difference in your steering.
