While stopping for power steering fluid I noticed that there were boxes on the shelves saying Spicer.  I asked and now for the first time since they were Kragen I have a reason to go back.  Spicer 5-760x u-joints on the shelf for $28.  More expensive than amazon but something to keep in mind for when you need a u-joint same day.  JK Rubicon 5-7166x u-joints were there too.

Yep, that's where mine came from, but keep in mind that the ford interchange parts number does not match.

What do you mean Ford interchange? Spicer is Dana, who built the axle/designed the u-joint.

The ones that they have are not the correct ones for the jk. The cap size is the same but they are about a 1/4 inch smaller in the joint itself

this is the correct spicer part number

Ive found it best not to trust the counter monkeys and the suggested part numbers.  They have the 5-7166x joints on the shelf if you ask.  But like everything for the JK, they are pricey.  $75 vs $45 off the internet but at the convenience of getting it same day.

Must have misread the original post I didn't see the reference to the Spicer 5-7166X, when i went, i brought one of my old ones to Auto-zone, Oriely and Napa and they pulled a whole bunch out and none of them were correct(didn't have the part number at the time) so maybe some of them do carry it but none of the ones around my house!! just my luck!
