I have heard about some JK owners with factory E-Lockers separating out the switches for Front and Back Lockers. I have read a few threads on forums regarding utilizing my Spod switches as well. The ability to just quickly turn on front vs back would be nice.
Has anybody in the club done this to their JK with E-Lockers?
One concern i have is making sure somebody does not accidentally engage the lockers when you are driving down the freeway etc. I suppose that would go very badly...
Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks!

Been there, done that.
But my switches were located by the gear shift which could accidentally be hit. The sPOD usually mounts above the rear view mirror. It takes a deliberate effort to reach up there and flip switches. Just be careful not to confuse a locker switch with a light switch. But really, you shouldn't have to touch any of those switches "on road". I am having my new lockers wired into an sPOD.
I used to wheel a lot. . .

I would just recommend a primary covered or turn style lock out switch (like you see in race cars or aircraft) that must be engaged before your locker switches gain power
I agree with having added safety. I found a switch on the Spod website that might just do the trick. You have to push the red tab down and then the rocker will activate similar to any other rocker switch. Now I just have to figure out how to bypass my factory switch and get it wired into the Spod. Not sure how to do that?

I have a safety ground switch next to my steering column. With the power module I have, any of the six switches it can power can be programmed to require the ground controlled by the safety switch. My two locker switches require the ground. The rest are disabled for now until I get more accessories. 🙂

No, I went with a PDM60 (http://pdm60.com/) and bought my switches from OTRATTW (https://www.otrattw.net/).

I would like to check out how you wired this up at the meeting tonight if you are going to be there. Sounds like how I am looking at doing it as well. Did your jeep originally have stock lockers?

If you are looking for options, this is the one I recommend: https://www.northridge4x4.com/.....Aljv8P8HAQ
It's called Switch Pros. Nice product and I've had great results with it. It takes up less space under the hood than the Spod.
Um...what?
