Yes, but I need the ram steering.

So, I'll probably be all ready by next season.

I used to wheel a lot. . .

You don't need a ram to do snow wheeling! Just lockers, beadlocks, winch, shovel, and someone to pull line 🙂

Let's go snow wheeling!!!

Most of us don't have bead locks and have a great time snow wheeling.

You don’t need beadlocks. I’ve owned walker Evans and race line. Now I don’t run any.

True.... you don't need a tent to go camping either, but it sure does make things nicer to do serious camping 😉

Maybe I just enjoy mobbing through 4feet of powder more than the next crazy person 😛

John I want to know everything you have done to your jeep. It looks awesome every time I see it... Is there any way you could update the very first post in this thread with what upgrades you have done, and what is currently on the rig? 12 pages of stuff is too much to look through lol Or you can just call me a lazy toyota owner and I will go through your 12 pages haha 😀

Good idea, it's done.

I have a lot of wheeling experience and I'm one of the oldest members of the club, but not a lot of the new members know me.

I haven't been very active over the last few years while I build this Jeep. That will start to change next season.

I've ran the Rubicon and Fordyce over 100 times, I've ran most all the trails at the Hammers a few times over, and I've been on countless snow runs.

All this has taught me one thing:

I HATE SNOW!!! 🙂

I'm running Biltein 5100 shocks

I like well-built, inexpensive, and stiff shocks.

John, did you get the welds and raw metal painted yet? Too bad Brian couldn't have done it before the rain started. He had to go back up to work in Oregon again so at least the job got done before he had to go.

Nice... that's what I am running in the rear. Do you know if they are rebuildable? I can't seem to find the info on that 🙁

No the 5100 's are not rebuildable. You have to get into the higher end shocks to get rebuild ability.

Now that Christmas is over and I have some funds in the Jeep account, it's time to look at upgrading the steering.

I "think" I'm pretty much sold on doing the PSC Big Box (ported) and the high output PSC pump. Jeff and Greg give it good reviews as well as others in the interwebs. It seems like a good mix of strength and drive-ability without having to mess with the "quirky" ram nature of their hydro assist setup. Going to be calling around to shops for prices unless others can talk me into a better solution...

Rope and pulley system 😉

Jk! I love the idea of the ported PSC box. Gives you a nice steering upgrade with the option to add the ram later if you want. Git 'r done so we can go do Barrett Lake when it opens back up!
