DESCRIPTION:October 17\, 2026 – October 18\, 2026 \nDay 1: Slick Rock Saturday\, October 17\, 2026 \nOvernight: Hermit Valley Campground \nDay 2: Deer Valley Sunday October 18\, 2026 \nFormat: This will be a one night trip\, or you can run either of the two trails and make a day trip out of it. \nSlick Rock Group: If you are heading up on Saturday\, meet at the McDonalds in Angles Camp (33 N Main St\, Angels Camp) at 8:00 a.m. and plan to leave by 8:30 a.m. Top off gas in Arnold. We will run Slick Rock from south to north and then head to Hermit Valley Campground and camp their Saturday night. \nDeer Valley Group: If you plan to run Deer Valley only\, then please be at Hermit Valley Campground no later than 9 a.m. or come up Saturday and camp with our group the night before. Deer Valley trailhead is accessed through and begins at Hermit Valley campground. Here is a link for Hermit Valley Campground on Hwy 4: https://www.fs.usda.gov/recare…..ecid=14847 \nClub minimum standards apply and ideally 35″ or greater tires and one locker. If you aren’t sure\, please ask. If you are running both trails\, please be sure you have sufficient fuel. You may need to bring extra fuel depending on your rig. I believe there is gas at Kirkwood but it’s probably best to bring it. \nMake sure you are prepared for the cold.  Roy nearly died last year.  lol

SUMMARY:Strawberry Fall Maintenance Run 2 of 2 - 2026
DESCRIPTION:Saturday\, October 24\, 2026 will be our second trail maintenance run of the year on Strawberry Pass Trail. This is the trail the club sponsors. To maintain member status you must make at least 1 trail maintenance run a year and there will be 2 runs including the other run being led by me in October. Our key goals for this run are bucking trees down in the area\, erosion control\, and getting documentation of fire remediation actions needed.. We will use the club’s HAM PosseV2 frequency for communications\, so bring your HAM radios. \nAlso\, as a reminder\, maintenance runs are a great opportunity for anyone needing to host a bbq/pot-luck for membership to do so. If you plan to do so\, please post so folks know and can contribute. \nMeet at the Subway/Shell station in Pollock Pines off of Hwy 50 and Sly Park exit at 8:30am.
