Tons of smoke, zero visibility, flames at the road, controlled traffic with a pilot car, and I feel like I spent the day smoking cigars. I'll post pictures if they came out, but I was trying not to hit the car in front of me.
Side note...did anyone lose an axe or did I get a new toy? 😈
Yes we drove through it on the way up, but i think they had just started it. It was a good day all around. My phone even survived me running over it.

What a GREAT time! The spring run had 8 volunteers and 8 rigs.
For the Fall run, we had 13 rigs, and 17 attendees! Eight of them were non-club members who came to volunteer their time and efforts into keeping this beautiful trail open. The trail looked to be in excellent condition with some minor work needed picking up trash. Joe and Kevin pulled out Joe's saw and cut up some downed trees that would be trouble in the spring, thanks guys! I hear Bob wielded a mean machete on some brush encroaching on the trail as well!
Thanks to all who came and helped out. I'll get started on the write up.

Good. Would have been better if i had brought some different lures and a different pole, but i just grabbed a box and a case and called it good. I will be ready next time. As with most places, the more time it takes to get to, the better the fishing is. Found 2 places where the fish were rising but could not get a strike on a lure. They would strike at the water drops when i would cast. I may actually have to learn how to use a fly rod. More days are required to be spent fishing here. A few hours are not enough. Thanks for the tip.
