from "Tanhauser" last season.

So, when are you off or planning to run up there? I can go as well to help cut and move stuff. I know you're in the busy season, so let me know.

Say, how about some of us getting tickets to a performance? Do you have a link you could send me or post?

I don't know when I'll be able to get up there...probably not until July. We run Rubicon 7-11 and then probably Fordyce and head home by the end of the week. I head to the Shaver Lk area trails on the 16th for a few days. After that I'm open at the moment until the 26th.

I hope this is the right tree!embarassed

My man Mark Jukes cut it out

This is how we left it looking from the 50 side

And looking from the 88 side. You can see the big puddle on the old bypass to the left.

This is a Yahoo that we tried to educate about how not to get a trail closed by the Sierra Club. He also won the price for the only strap of the day by liberal application of the skinny peddle.

This is the big payoff view at the 88 end.

Can't resist: you know they say it's not the size of your chain saw . . . . .

Great job guys! You should be proud of the work you did, nice job removing the obstacle AND blocking the bypass.

Thank you very much!

true :p I took apart a 6' diameter Euch with a 20" Stihl 031 way back when...
I had a friend drop it with a much bigger saw, however.

GREAT JOB! That is the tree! Were you able to push/pull the cut portion to block that by-pass on the right?

Thanks again!

Did you see the couple downed trees blocking the trail all the way over? Were you able to cut those too?

Great pics too. What's with that yahoo? Was he just stuck in the snow?

I'm Glad you guys approve of what we did. The bypass if not really blocked. If you really wanted to go through it I think you could but it is clear where the trail is and you would have to really go out of your way to go through it. It might could use a few more rock to mark the edge or something.
As for the yahoo he was the first one through the newly cleared trail and then went up there and was going around snow patches. Like I said I think he just didn't know better.
