The club can meet at the usual location - McDonalds at Hwy 50 and Hazel Ave. Plan to meet at 8 AM and leave for the event at 830. Each vehicle should plan to bring at least one new, unwrapped toy valued greater than $5. The club will contribute both food and toy donations as well. This year we will not plan to buy complimentary items, rather just focus on providing the greatest donation needs possible for the funds we have available. blankets, sleeping bags, food, toys for younger children and girls are always in greatest need. |
It's Gold Country 4x4 Toy Run time of year for 2021!The 34th annual Gold Country 4x4 Toy Run is set for Saturday, Dec 4, 2021 at Lake Natoma (Hwy 50 and Hazel Ave) from 9-11:30 AM. Rain or Shine.
The Hi-Landers 4WD Club is excited to be hosting the event and look forward to seeing you all there. Your generous toy and food donations make the season for local children and their families. Please distribute the event flier (attached) to one and all. The more the merrier for this event. For any questions or arrangements for donations that need to be picked up, please contact: Deann MacDougall |

Surprisingly little response here post-event!
We won most attended for their 34th year! Thanks everyone! Let's try to win 35 next year! That will give us 20,25, 30, 35!
The event has changed so there is no parade - and best decorated vehicles simply drive around the parking lot and in front of the judges. I committed that we will participate in this event year. We can do several vehicles but think we should have one main club submittal as well. Though Kris did not attend this year, I believe we can use our club trailer for this to further enhance our project!
The raffle was fun and our club did quite well! I really feel for the Highlanders, as they put this event together with lower turnout and lower donations. It continues to be for a great cause - and our club was by far the greatest contributor - we made a big difference again this year! The club donated 15 cases of canned food and more than 100 toys, blankets, sleeping bags, pairs of socks and other items helpful to those in needs.
Thank you everyone!
Hopefully we will see pictures posted as well for those who took them.

Thank you for heading up this event, we have a bad cold running through our house so I am just now starting to recover. I am glad it went well. We can totally use the club trailer for this next year.

It was our first year attending and we really had fun. Music, tons of sugary food for the kids to go nuts on, and plenty of fellowship and good cheer. Cool rigs. Good raffle items, though I didn't win anything because I'm going to win everything today the holiday party
I regretted that I didn't have time to decorate the suburban. Next year, for sure. Lots of toys for a great cause. Great showing by the club. Very fun and I frankly don't know why I never made it before!
