Just sold my Jeep, so I'm out for this run.
Time to start planning the build on the 2 Door.
Congratulations John, keep us in the loop on the replacement upgrades...
I'm thinking simple... 1-1/2" spacer lift, 35" tires, and skid plates to start with.
Eventually a front bumper and winch, and who knows what else... taking it slow this time.
I used to wheel a lot. . .

I need to give the 4Runner the once over after doing Rubicon last weekend, but provided everything is ok I’m still planning on going. I will meet up at trail head as I’ll be staying near there the week before.
Have you done the Rubicon before?
Nope. Was my first time through. Was very excited to finally check it off the list. Can’t wait to go back though. LOL

What way did you go in and how far did you go?
Did the TLCA Rubithon event. Entered at Loon, camped at Buck one night, then onto the Springs for 2 nights, then exited out Cadillac Hill Sunday morning. It was a fun trip and great event to participate in.

If you are camping on Friday don't forget to get a campfire permit for a propane stove, BBQ or a campfire. I'm planning on leaving home between 1 and 2 pm so I should get to Hermit Valley Campground somewhere close to 5 p.m. on Friday if all goes as planned. Below is a link for a campfire permit.

I would like to meet somewhere for the day trip people and go up together. Any further thoughts on a meet time and place?
Rich, I plan on driving all the way to the Hermit Valley Campground that morning & pass by the McDonald's in Angles Camp (at Hwy 49 & Hwy 4 Bypass), but not sure what time I'd be there, but leaving Cameron Park about 6:00A, so maybe 7:30A. No others have expressed meeting there.

I'm about 2 hours from Angels camp and it appears to be 1 hour from hermit valley. Our crew (2 rigs confirmed) will also swing by the McDonald's in Angels camp but more like 8:30. Fuel up then head to the camp ground and get there before you hit the trail at 10.
Besides drinks and snacks, do we need to bring anything for lunch. The pulled pork sliders sound delicious.

Sounds great! We did change the lunch menu to sandwiches.
