good question. is this a president decision or trailmaster one?

Man up...it's just a little snow...we've run that road in white-out conditions, wearing bathing suits (well, one of us anyways) 😀

I used to wheel a lot. . .

We just don't want you to get Elaina's Subaru so stuck you have to leave it until the spring melt.

I'll be there rain or shine, but I drive a Toyota so I have to be just a little tougher than the rest of you.

I will be there rain or shine. If it's bad weather, I'll bring my jeep.

True to form, I did a pre-run yesterday (Sunday). There's LOT'S of snow up there. I only got 11 miles in before I ran out of tracks from other vehicles, then only went another 1/2 mile before I had to winch myself around and head back.

There were fewer vehicles up there yesterday than when I went 3 weeks ago, probably due to the bad weather forecasted. The winds were blowing a good 50 mph. Making huge snow drifts to conquer.

Not all that fun to dig out of, but we had a great time and pulled two others out of trouble.

Has anyone heard if ENF blocked the road at North-South like they did last year?

I passed right by North South Road, didn't see any signs of a closure there.

The road will be closed there once the other side starts grooming the trails for snow mobiles. So long as the weather stays bad, we may be in luck!

Also, I don't believe the closure is north-south road. It should be Silverfork Road that they put the berm up. Silverfork is much further up towards the county line.

I think the other side is Alpine county? Is that correct?

You're right, the closure was at Silver Fork road. Here's the closure notice I posted last year.

I got to Silver Fork a few weeks ago but came up 7 miles short yesterday.

I saw a couple of guys coming West from that direction, they were sporting 39 or 40 inch tires, my 33's weren't going anywhere in 3 feet of snow.

It'll be snowing all week up here . . .

WooHooooooo . . . . . . . .......

My lady is coming and wants to know what we are doing for fun. Is there any place for sledding, etc.?

Do we need to bring anything special? What about food? Also, if we meet you all up there, should we just drive on on Morman Imigrant trail until we find ya. CB's on?

Bring your own fun, food, and frolic. We run on channel 10. We'll be on Iron Mntn Road, probably not too far from the dam. We'd be hard to miss since we'll be right on the side of the road.
