Last minute - Signal Peak Run and Hangout

When: Sunday, August 2 2020
Meet Time: 9:30am
Where: Meet at the Chevron / Subway location. Cisco Grove exit of Highway 80.
Address: 90 Cisco Rd, Soda Springs, CA 95728

This is a last minute run open to anyone that wants to beat the heat and hang out. Plan is to leave Chevron by 10am and head to the trail head to air down. We will head up to the peak and have lunch while taking in the amazing views. Then we will head back down the trail to air back up. We will choose a spot to hang out for for a few hours. We can decide where at that time but one spot is Moonriker Brewery in Auburn. Support the local businesses.

Vehicles must meet our clubs minimum requirements.

Covid-19 disclaimer:  if you have been sick, if you are sick or you know someone with COVID-19 please refrain from coming on this run. This run is for healthy humans

Looks like total of 3 rigs. 1 prospect and 1 new rig I gave a club interest card to a week ago. Would love to have another member come along and make this count for the newbies.

If nobody else shows interest here, we will probably skip Chevron and go straight to the staging area off Eagles Lake. My number is (916) 275-3956 if you decide last minute you wanna come.

Great day on the trail. Had 3 total rigs and 7 people. Headed up the trail about 10am and got to the top about 11:15. Hung out for awhile. It was Beautiful out and even chilli in the shade. Ate lunch and got to know Darin (a potential prospect) a bit better. A few other rigs on the trail but not that bad. Walked down to the Signal building and took a bunch of photos. Headed back down the way we came from eagle lake exit close to 1. Off the trail by 2:30. Total on the trail time was about 2.5 hours. The rigs went to Moonraker Brewery in Auburn and had an early dinner. Was home and relaxing in the AC by 6pm. It was a good day with good people.

Signal Peak is all ways a great time to be had.  I'm glad you guys were able to enjoy the good weather and good company.  I'm sorry we couldn't join you guys but we had already made other plans. Thanks for the invite though hope to see you at the virtual meeting next week.
