I agree as well. I bent everything related to stock, and I'm not that hard on parts.

My off the shelf steering has held up well. Now if I could just keep the stupid knuckles on the housing....

    😂

My steering is "off the shelf" Of course, it's a section of DOM, 1 ton TRE's and tube adapters off the shelf of Independent4x 😂

I think off the shelf parts are strong enough for many mildly built vehicles and only become too weak when used with the bigger builds. You guys saying custom is the only way to go seem to be in the "bigger" category. Those of us with 35" tires and smaller can probably get away with some of the off the shelf stuff.

Justin just got me these sweet pictures of me in Old Sluice (where some people went on the slabs down to Buck Island lake and missed this part)...

I think I can still see my silver paint on that big rock on your passenger side. Is that where you hit your windshield frame & door?

That's exactly how I hit that rock, but I was looking ahead to where I needed to be to strap Lee so we could reset his drivers front bead.

You were there as Justin's passenger. You got it on video even. Took a while to fix but looked/sounded good on video.
