Hello all,
I just joined today as I am trying to get in touch with the group to see if there is interest in attending a Chainsaw Safety and certification class put on by the Forest service in April. they have agreed to train up to 16 people and I have 14 on the list as of this morning. Being that your group has Strawberry trail adopted it may be a big benifit to you as you need to clear trees in the spring.
I have all the details I can email to anyone so it can possably be discussed at your next meeting (tonight

I believe there was a first aid/CPR requirement for taking the course, correct?
I'd be interested in the class, but I don't know if I can get that certification in advance. I'll see what I can do. I have a 24" saw, is there a min or max requirement in this area?

I dont know if they would do a second one this year and I was suprised they would take 16 people. This is the first one that I have been able to get them to do since 2008 its like pulling teeth sometimes.
If anyone is serious about taking the class and wants to be on the "waiting list" let me know. My email is in the first post. I want to have a couple of alternates if any of those that committed, drop out before the class starts. Just make sure you are willing to commit to a two day class...April 21-22
