    Hey everyone I found your club/forum on the ca4wdc web page. I signed up today as a member! My wife, Meagan and Daughter Caitlynn (8mos) and I have been looking for a great 4wd club to get involved with, run trails and go hiking and camping. We wold like very much to attend a meeting in the near future.



    We have been into 4 wheeling for a little over 3 yrs now since I bought an 84 toyota pickup. Then after having fun with that and the baby, we upgraded to a slightly bigger 85 4 runner. My truck is not overly done but it has a new motor 22re, 4.7 geared transfer case, 5.29 gears in the axles with a detroit in the rear and a lockrite up front. Running black steelies wrapped with super swamper 33's for now until I can upgrade my axles to handle bigger tires. The body is stock and I have Marlin front and rear tube bumpers and trail gear rock sliders. Also a warn winch up front. There is always more I want to do to my runner, you know how it is...



    Mostly we enjoy getting outdoors and running trails with a fun group! My driving style is slow and steady but I'm not afraid to challenge myself or my runner. I have run eagle lakes, part of the rubicon and a few other trails in the area even up to the highlakes near magalia. I live really close to prairie city ohv park but would always rather hit a trail than go to a park. I'm not super experienced, but I'm always learning and I try my best to be safe and tread lightly.

    Welcome Morgan, Meagan and Daughter Caitlynn!!!! This is (in my humble opinion) the best club in the area. I'm glad you found us! You're in luck! We have a meeting in the near future!

    Welcome to the Board. There are a couple of us with kids in the same age range. It's also nice to see another Toyota on the board. How about some pictures? I wouldn't worry much about those axles. I run 37s on mine. 😏

    We've got a meeting coming up next Thursday evening and we have our first Snow Patrol on Iron Mountain road the following Saturday.

    We have lots of different style drivers here. You will fit right in. (even thow you drive a yota) (JK).

    Thanks for thewarm welcome everyone!

    I'm sure I can make the meeting, but I have a work event the day of the snow run...I'd be tempted to flake on that if I have my runner back by then though! Its been in the shop for a while with a tranny noise in 4th and 5th gears? The mechanic is covering it under his warranty but its taking a while to get fixed...its been almost 3 mos now and I'm getting impatient.

    So we'll see what happens. I really want to get into some wheeling early this year!



    Also I have an entire high steer kit to put on and front axle armor and a ubolt flip kit! So I'm dying to get it back so I can put that all togehter!

    SO who's all going to be at the meeting? Are you going to be there in your toyota Bender?

    As promised here are a few pics from my rubicon trip in September.

    We only ran part it was with 4wheel parts jokers poker run and I had a blast, you can't see, but my daughter is passed out in her car seat in al these pics.

    Clean truck! I'll probably just bring my car to the meeting since I come down from Grass Valley, but if my wife and kid don't come, I'll look at bringing the 4Runner.

    Thanks guys, I'll probably drive it IF its back from the mechanic. He says it should be done this weekend. But he said it would be done "tomorrow" 2 weeks ago! haha!

    Otherwise I'll be in my car as well 🙂

    Thanks everyone for having me at eh meeting last Thursday! I had a good time.

    Looking forward to the next meeting and any future runs as soon as my yota is fixed and ready to go!

    Good NEws! I finally got my 4runner back from the shop. Planning on driving it to the next meeting and hoping to come along on the Iron Mtn run on 2/13. I've been wanting to play in the snow!
