You had a bunch of Jeeps delivered to your house, with air conditioning vents installed? 😂

The corners/flares look good. Are you going to trim more inside the flare?

I am going to cut most of it out. I will leave just enough to weld the flares on the inside to the corners...

Just ordered my ARB, reverse cut thick gears, master install kit, and yoke from AllJeep.com....$1130.00 for all shipped to my door. I will pick up the rest of the parts to complete the axle on Monday when I get back in town 😀

I am estimating that the final cost for building this axle is going to be around $4700.00...That doesn't include what I will spend for DOM tubing, weld bungs, and joints to build my trackbar, tierod, and drag link. That will be another $300 to $500.

Did you find someone for the shafts then?

No on the shafts. I only want Superior. Sounds like 6 to 8 weeks for them. I might run stock alloys until I can get the Superior EVOs.

So, if you had to do it all over again...would you have one built?

I think it's 😎 that you are doing a lot of the work yourself, but do you think it's worth the effort?

I would still build it myself. I enjoy the work, it isn't all that hard, u just have to be comfortable welding your own stuff which I am now. You know exactly how everything will fit before you make your final welds. You know exactly what parts went into the axle, no taking someones word on what they put in it! And it cost me aprox. $3500 less than having someone else do it!!!!!

I now have all the parts sitting in my Jeep for the front axle. My axle shafts will be here tomorrow or Thurs. John is coming over next Monday and we will start fitting the axle under the Jeep. The axle is going out today for the gear and ARB install.

Nice! Think you'll be ready for a shakedown run on the 15th up to Barrett?

I can't pick up my axle tomorrow because I'm here at work. I will have to pick it up Monday morning, unless you John wants to drive up to Forest hill tomorow afternoon and pick it up for me so we can get an early start Monday morning 🙂

I will be in Sacramento all afternoon tomorrow. Ben has a class at Sac State from 12:00 until 3:30. I won't be home until 4:30 and then I have to leave for Trek.
