Do you have any close up pictures of the trimming you did in the rear of your LJ? Did you have to relocate your charcoal canister on the passenger side? I just picked up some 40s for my jeep and I'm worried about my tires hitting the canister.
Thanks for your help.
I did not have to relocate the charcoal canister on mine because i have an LJ and there is additional room on the rear. I can take some pictures of the fenders if you really want but it wasnt fine science when i trimmed them. i just mounted them and then flexed the tires to see if they rubbed. then marked it out and chopped it off with a cut-off wheel.

Good to know. Thanks for the information. Mine seems real close to the tire and I would hate to ripe it out on the trail.
Did it sting at all to trim up your fenders? I'm a little nervous to cut it up. But I'm sure it will feel good later. 🙄
Um...what?

Na...feels great :hack: ..... at least i know that my fenders will not be cutting my $400/ea tires....
I would recommend using a grinder and a couple cut-off wheels

I know a couple guys that it wouldn't HURT at all to help you cut your fenders. 😈
Seriously tho, if you want help or need tools, i have several means to cut fenders off. Did mine.
