Anyone know of any informative tech articles ? My swaybar stops the axle before the shocks top out in the F&R,so I think the shocks are safe for now. Want to lengthen the links in the rear to move the roll center ( on road issue ) but then the shocks will stop the axle at full droop, I've bent a few. In the front I may have gone a bit too far with the flex thing. Have driven on the beadlock ring and it felt like it was going to flop with most of the tires on the ground. Some refer to this as the 'slinkey thing ". I saw John carry a front tire over something that mine would have dropped into and he made it look easy. No way would I have taken that line. It would have been a disaster. It just got me thinking, should I make a change ? The bumpstops were set by pulling all the springs and dropping it under its own weight with shocks on,so I plan to leave them alone. CV's and front DS notch in belly pan clearanced and checked at full droop with links off so I think it's ok there. The shops I've talked to have said to set them 1-2 inches short to allow for stretch and put the mounts where you can. Just looking for more input and info before I do it.

Haven't had much luck with the bilstein's as limit straps. The shafts like to bend, turn blue then leak. Have got some RE and WE reservoir shocks that have less comp dampening than the bilstein's. Guess I will try that in front along with the teraflex dual rate. They were supposed to be for the green jeep but she has not put them on yet so....... I'm off to visit a nitrogen bottle.

Rob and I, and others I believe, have had the same luck with the Bilstein shocks. Man, they are sweet when you first put them on, but they break down quickly. I'm sticking with the cheap gas-charged ProComp shocks from now on. They are indestructable, if you can handle the stiff ride quality.
I used to wheel a lot. . .
