I helped Rob a little this weekend high lining his front fenders. All I can say is that there is no way to fit a 40" tire in a Jeep wheel well. Even with the high line fenders, which is like adding 3 more inches of lift, the tires are going to rub. Don't even think about fitting them in the back without comp cutting. Those are some monster tires :hack:
I used to wheel a lot. . .

Thanks for the hekp John and Troy. I still have a few more things to relocate under the hood, but I welded up some new battery brackets today and got the battery back in and hooked up.. John, want to bet that I can make those tires work without comp cutting π
Non comp cut rig running 40's with the same 4.5 lift and stretch I am running

Any time, thanks for letting me use the welder - I'll bring you by a new roll of .035

High lining the fenders is nice once it is all done, but let me warn you, it is not an easy job. You have to relocate the battery, all of your emissions canisters, and several other items. My windshield washer fluid is gone forever. There is no where to put it. Tools you will need are a welder, plenty of scrap metal to make all new brackets, cutting tools, drills, grinders, and a lack of common sense. This is the last high line fender job I am doing. It has taken three days and I still don't have it all back together. If you run a big air compressor under the hood, you won't after you do this. The only compressor that fits under the hood now is an ARB compressor. Not sure what I am going to do with my βExtreme airβ compressor I took out. Probably sell it.
This is only ΒΌ of what I still need to do to make the 40βs fit with only 4.5 inches of lift.

I wouldn't bet on me running LS this year unless it is in your Jeep. I somehow doubt I will be wheeling my Jeep until this time next year π

However, his Little Sluice attempt this year will be tainted
