Does anyone know where Timothy can get hood locks (actually key lock) latches for his 1963 Willy’s CJ5?

Tired of having to take the battery out every night so it doesn’t disappear.

Will use a cable lock as a last resort.

Think about it and let me know at club meeting.
thanks

They make a hood lock for them. You can keep the stock latches and install this hood lock: Rugged Ridge 11252.01 Hood Lock Kit

Thanks Jeff, That is for the "later" '72-89 CJ5's that have the secondary hood safety latch. Like Timothy's 1963 Willy's there is no "latch" in the front behind the grill to make that style of lock work.

We are going to design a system to to replace the spring hold downs on the side of the hood to do the job. Without drilling new holes in the hood and fender.

Why not mount a loud horn that goes off when the hood is opened? Might scare off the battery thieves

yes a alarm will also be installed, with a main power shut off.
