I bought two 2.5 gal. heavy duty, low profile "No-Spill " gas cans from the Polaris dealer, does anyone know if there is a safety issue with the cans properly secured with nylon straps to my factory fj roof rack?

Offline I've seen people carry gas cans on the roof like that. I'm not sure how they were attached or how safe it would be. My concern would be low hanging branches or other obstacles hitting them and causing a leak which would then run all over the vehicle.
