I opened my rear diff and found a thick greyish milkshake flowing out. Its time for a cleaning.

Offline The first thing I think of is water. I've never seen rear end lube, even with additives that looked like that.
Put a little on you finger and hold a match to it. If it snaps and sizzles, you have water.
