So, I'm heading to the hammers with a buddy from work for KOH. We are bringing his jeep on 42s. What trails should we hit up while we're down there? I've never been and he has been once. Any recommendations from you experienced hammer guys (John and Rob)?

Um...what?

The place is probably closed while the races are going on, but I think people go wheeling in the evening. Somebody that's been there for KOH will be able to tell you more. Justin? Does Justin even post here any more?

As far as trails go, you definitely have to include Jackhammer and Sledgrhammer, the two most famous ones. Jackhammer isn't too tough but Sledgehammer is a blast.

Rob, Justin and Myself (Scott too I think) all agree that Outer Limits is the best trail out there...at least for our sized rigs.

Some others to consider are Chocolate Thunder (a fun short trail), Wrecking Ball, and Highway 20.

I used to wheel a lot. . .

Outer Limits is the only reason I would go back to The Hammers.......well....maybe Sledgehammer too. 8)

Thanks guys. Are trails marked fairly well? Is there a place other than the Internet to find trail maps?

Um...what?

The trails are NOT marked. You will need a GPS and coordinates.

Justin, nice to see you posting. 8)

If you get lost going to Outer Limits, you might end up on Spooners Canyon. 😯
