My Jeep is road worthy again after sitting dead for over 7 months 😲

Thanks to Rob for all his help. He worked his butt off, awesome guy to have as a friend!

To start with, the Jeep wouldn't start. I had to jump start the battery. When it finally started, the engine compartment started smoking a lot. The oil seperator leaked out all of its oil when the air pressure hit it, but it soon burned off. Then I couldn't get it in gear. It seems that leaving it parked for that long rusted the clutch plates together. Once running, we took it to Rob's house. We fixed the whole front end of the Jeep:

    Re-weld the broken shock mount

Took the axles out and cleaned-regreased everything

New seals and slinger plates on the hubs

    Brand new hubs

    Shortened drag link and recentred

    Re-attached the steering stabilizer

Re-routed the air line to bypass the oil sperator

    New brake line

    Bled the brakes

Oh ya, and repainted some stuff 😈

So the front end is done and I can drive it again. We now need to finish the back end to get it trail worthy. We will need to replace the rear shocks and do some maintenance on the rear/lower control arms. After that, I should be good to go...

    I used to wheel a lot. . .

John and his new outboarded shocks. How does it feel to be able to change a shock in a couple minutes unlike the two plus hours it took us to get your old ones out of the stock mounts 😲

You really need to put a coat of paint on the underside of your Jeep 😁
