Do you think it's possible for Jeep to make a vehicle that doesn't throw an evap P0455 code between smog checks. I'm so tired of dealing with their crappy system. I've never had this problem on any other vehicle. 👿

I used to wheel a lot. . .

No kidding, I think it says anything on the grill but JEEP 👿
I had an old Ford truck with umpteen hundreds of thousands of miles on it. Never had an evap problem. And yes, it had an evap system smarty pants (that was meant for Rob).

from Jeepaholics.com:

Here is a brief list common faults and confirmed fixes. I would start with split hoses. A smoker is ideal for this. These leaks con be challenging to find with out one. If you need specific tests for the LDP let me know.

Time to tube it out and Green sticker it 😀

Did you try to smog it today and it failed?

After we fixed it, the light came back on. So I found another piece of rotten tubing. When I trimmed it, it wouldn't go back on the connection. So, I shoved a smaller piece of tubing between the two pieces and then duct taped them together mr-green

No doubt. I think my Jeep would fall apart if it wasn't for duct tape and the dirt/grease mixture holding all the seals tight.

Speaking of duct tape, have you guys used the gorilla tape? That stuff is amazing. Super sticky and really holds up. Doesn't seem to get all stringy and gooey like regular duct tape.
