All of my friends who bought drones have crashed them but i guess the newer ones are more advanced and can hover even in wind which the older ones couldn't.
Have you done the $6 egg timer time lapse with the go-pro?

I'm confused. How come you can't just 2 way tape the go pro mount to the bottom and put single side stick foam to the top to hold it in place? Is the screw mount so you can mount the timer on something? Couldn't it just be set on a flat rock on the trail? I'm lazy, so I m looking for a lazy garage fab solution

Haha yes, the screw mount is for mounting to standard camera equipment like tri-pods. Velcro, duct tape, glue to a 2x4, etc. are all equally as viable options.

what do you have darrell? I've had the 3dr Iris and the 3dr solo. I currently have a racing drone with FPV. i'm sure i could fly it for you on a trail run
