Hey guys, I'm going to be upgrading my tie rod, drag link, and track bar very soon. Looking for suggestions on what I should get. Looking at getting the Rare Parts Tie Rod and Drag Link Fab series assemblies. What are you guys running? Also I would like to do the install myself, but I would need some help. I would like someone to kinda walk me through it and watch to make sure I don't screw it up. Thanks

If you go rare parts, you wont need a reamer. The rare parts kit is an awesome kit and I highly recommend it.
But...If you can't afford the high price tag, I would suggest looking at the ruff stuff kit. It's cheaper, and more of a DIY project requiring welding and use of a reamer.
If money was no object, I would do rare parts. You know that is what I have. It is very versatile and can be adjusted for any steering application. Many brands, like the Currie Correct kit is just the Rare Parts kit rebranded. They are also made right here in Modesto.
Um...what?

Yes
you will need a wrench too. I don't have the size off the top of my head. Kevin and I both carry one

Ok I'm pretty much ready to start ordering parts, but we are leaving for Italy in a few days and we don't exactly have the storage space in the RV for the parts. What I'm getting to is there a way to have my parts shipped to one of you guys to hold for me until we get back and get a date set for the work party? It would alleviate trying to time my order with shipping dates and arrivals to get started working on it.

We will be flying back from Italy tomorrow and Greg has all my new steering parts at his house. So go ahead and start throwing out some dates on here so we can get the install party planned. I still need ideas for lunch/dinner to bring. I was thinking pizza but I don't know if you guys are tired of pizza and want something different? Just let me know. Looking forward to hanging out with you guys!

Hey guys just wanted to throw out an update, we're leaving for Yosemite today and we'll be gone for a week. My phone service will be very sparse so I wont be able to check the forum frequently. Once we get back I'd like to get a date nailed down for the steering rebuild/fun/pizza/lively banter party. Lol so here are the dates that's are the options.
Friday July 1st after 5 pm. Saturday July 2nd either earlier in the day or after 5 pm. Sunday July 3rd afternoon. Saturday July 9th any time.
To recap I need the following:
1. A garage to work in, equipped with sufficient tools (I live in an RV hence the need to work at someone else's garage)
2. Someone with experience to walk me through the installs, I would like to be as hands on with this as I can but I will need guidance to ensure I don't screw it up lol
3. I will be bringing food so anyone can come to help or just to hang out and have a good time.
Thanks to all who have offered help and I look forward to hanging out with you guys!!
