What did you break Jeff? Do we need a work party to get you fixed in time for Hell Hole?

What were you doing? The nv4500 comes from the factory behind one ton diesel trucks.

I read on another post you thought you might be out for the season. Certainly hope that is NOT the case.

Do you still have the tranny out of the Ford? Can you make it fit? It's a C6 right?

The only thing I have left of that truck is a set of tires and rims.

So I have some good news. My $1200 upgraded trany is fine.

Now the bad news...... I blew up a $3k atlas 4speed instead.

I had a bit of free time tonight and decided the truck had been sitting long enough. So I called Carl up and he came over to help me pull the trany. As I was undoing the drive lines I realized they would not spin free. Even with every thing in neutral. When we got the atlas off it was confirmed. It will not spin free in any position.

Thank you Carl for the help.

Word! This is a bummer bro. They say the nv4500 is bombproof. They say the Atlas 4sp is bombproof.

One of them game up behind that itty bitty small block v8 magnum 318 running about 200 hp....?

A bit of ad-lib demonstrating the carnage, which seems to be AFTER the front planetary box.

I am being told it should be covered but nothing is for sure. It is being shipped back to atlas for complete rebuild. It was the intermediate gear that failed. As soon as we pulled the plug a tooth came out with it. I will post up as it moves along. We shall see how good atlas really is.
