Where are you buying your MT/R's?

I am looking for a good price on some 37" MT/R's. I wanted to originally try out the Iroks, but this 4runner might become a daily driver for a few months and that would just be killing the Iroks. Last time I got MT/R's I bought them from tire rack as no one local could come close to the price at that time.

Is everyone happy running them on a 15" rim or if you had to do it again would you step up to the 17"? It appears that I might have more tire options in the future if I stick to the 15" rim size.

If I was planning on staying with a 37 inch tire, I would be totally happy running them on 15 inch rims..17's are a huge jump in price and isn't worth the extra cost if you never go past 37's...

Also, I've heard tell that the 15 inchers keep the bead better.

I usually buy mine slightly used off of Pirate. Saves a small fortune.

Otherwise, try Just Tires or whatever they're called now (Gemini I think).

I used to wheel a lot. . .

I bought mine last year at Good Year in Rocklin for $260 a piece with lifetime warranty. I don't know if that was a good price but they were the only place that had them at the time. I went with the 15" wheel because like John said, I think they hold the bead better.

It sounds like I will stay with the 15" rim size.

I checked this AM with tire rack and price was $231 a tire. No sales tax. Once you factor shipping you are probably around $240-245 a tire. So $260 might not be a bad price if that includes a full replacement warranty in case you rip open the sidewall. Sounds like it might be time to do some local shopping.

Good luck. Let us know what you find. I'd be interested to know if they are still hard to find.

Try the new tire shop behind shell at folsom/auburn and blue ravine. Tell them your best price and see if they can beat it! They have the lowest price on the 37" Toyo I am looking for. They beat the best price I brought to them. They offered 37" Nitto's for even less, but I'm not interested in that tire. It can't hurt to give them a shot.

I just noticed that place last week. I will have to drop by there and see what they have to say.
