If you were at the meeting this week, here is the radio Brad just bought that I was really impressed with, the big color screen is really nice! Expect about a 2 year lifespan depending on how much you use it, I think i got a little more out of my old one. I did not see the wattage on Amazon, but they are supposed to be 10 watts, he got them on Temu a bit cheaper than Amazon so you can check there as well.

Baofeng UV-21

The standard style that we have been using in the past is linked here, they are 8 Watt but the buttons and screen are much smaller, and they are not waterproof. Still a good radio if you want tsomething a bit smaller and a hair under the proce of the other.

Baofeng UV-5R/BF-F8HP

I also had a boost in performance replacing that standard antenna with this one, I would say use it the way it is and see if you need feel you need the better antenna first.
