23 degrees here this morning. My pipes froze and I have no water

Frozen pipes are a bummer especially if they break 😥
The news said that Sacramento is one degree away from the the record!

Offline Luckily there aren't any broken pipes. I have the pipes wrapped but they still froze. I will have to wrap them some more I guess.

It was a balmy 17 when I left the house this morning. All my pipe insulation held up though. 8)

Offline I was concerned when the forecast was updated yesterday.
When the temperature at 9PM was 29* in Elk Grove, I went out and covered my lime tree then brought in the brass monkeys.

I started work at 4:50 am this morning doing a 250 yard pour out at the Folsom spill way. We spent all morning fighting trucks water systems freezing. Not being able to add water or wash out concrete is never a good thing.

Warming up the Jeep this morning at 4:30 it was 22 degrees and my window zipper got stuck - couldn't get the window closed.
Had to take my upper window out and trade with Joe so I wouldn't turn into a POPSICLE 😯 on the way to work!
