No doubt. Today was pretty bad. Maybe we can start talking about Triple Trail?

JohnDF SubscriberJohnDF started this SubscriberI'm actually looking forward to Triple Trail. I haven't been on Deer Valley in a few years and I've never run Slick Rock. Hopefully we'll camp by a stream and I can do some fly fishing. I'm getting excited now πΊ

That trail is so dusty that I might have to put my top on when I run it this year π

Is there a pink bone award for off trail antics? If so, can I self nominate?
Here's the story for a slow day. I picked up a set of used MTRs. I was going to load them into the 4Runner to swap them out. The tail gate wont open because I bent the tube on Fordyce. No big deal, just hammer it back into place, it has happened before. Feeling all manly, I decided I'd just throw the tires into the back. Two in, no problem. Number three... bounced off the other two, over the 4Runner, off the car and down the hill. I briefly chased after it (in flip flops) when I realized number four was bumped in the process and was on it's way down the hill after me. I turned around and stopped it, losing track of #3 in the process. I ran back into the house, grabbed some boots and started down the hill. I ran down to the river...no tire. I slowly walked back up the hill. No tire. I got within about 100 yards of the road and found the stupid thing just as the sun went down. I pushed/carried the :censor: thing up the hill. I just got out of the shower after scrubbing a half yard of dirt off myself and am sitting here hoping that my legs itch because they got scratched up in the process, not because I was running through poison oak. :loser:
I think I'm just going to go to bed.

Tell me about it. I tried to have the tires mounted Friday. One of the beads has a cut in the very inside part. Les Schwab wouldn't mount it. I think they were busy and just didn't want to deal with it. I talked to Lee about it, had our mechanic at work look at it, took it to another tire shop on my way home and they all said it would be fine. What a PITA. Unfortunately, Les Schwab is the only tire store up here I've managed to track down up here that says they can balance a 37. π€
JohnDF SubscriberJohnDF started this SubscriberI've had the same problem with Schwab.

Zanfel works great! A little pricey though at around $30 but it gets rid of the itch.- Guest former userGuest former user
