Does anyone use a Camelback or other brand hydration pack? What's the best way to dry out the bladder after you've used it?

I've never thought about drying it out. I just keep it full of water in the refrigerator and change out the water before I use it.

I have one of these. Works reasonably well but I don't use my Camelback every day so it has plenty of time to dry between uses.

I take a coat hanger and put some bends in it then slip it down inside. This keeps the sides from touching and allows it to dry. It is a poor mans version of what Bender posted!!!

rinse it out with baking soda and water, and put a paper towel inside it to keep it open. I just hang it from a hanger to let it air out.

I found the coat hanger idea via google. I've got it hanging up now.

I bought this pack to hang from the roll bar behind the seat in the Jeep instead of refilling water bottles so frequently. I plan to try it out on Rubicon Round-Up.

So how big is your bladder? lol

I didn't shop around as much as I should have and ended up getting the Camelbak Cloud Walker with a 2 liter bladder. I like the pack, it's basically a small/medium size backpack with the bladder chamber and plenty of room for other stuff. I'm thinking I might have liked to get a larger bladder though. The good thing was Sports Authority has all their hydration packs on sale for 20% off (at least in the Folsom store).

On sale currently???? If so, I have some coupons to go on top of that! I may buy one as well for the run and try it out.

Big 5 has some on sale right now regularly $39.99 for $24.99. It's a back pack/hydration pack. It holds a little over 3 bottles of water.

Yes, I picked it up after work today. I think the sale goes until the 20th.

Teddi's been wanting to do a day hike. Let's try to do something. We won't be available until sometime after mid-July though.

😈 I went to the Rancho Big5 at lunch yesterday and they didn't have any hydration packs.

I did the hanger thing for a while along with the paper towel drying and wadding thing. I ended up growing so much mold in there I bought a cleaning kit and it came with the dryer.
