I've never used firefox, but I was messing around with it this afternoon. I can get to everywhere else, but when I go to the board, I get a Page Load Error that says:
Connection Interrupted
The connection to the server was reset while the page was loading.
The network link was interrupted while negotiating a connection. Please try again.
Am I doing something wrong? Obviously, IE is working
I use Firefox and rarely use IE. I've never seen that error.
What version of Windows are you using? A little Googling shows this seems to be an issue with FF3/Vista.
I started using it because it was faster than IE.
I just downloaded 3.0.1. I'm using XP. I've been googling too, and it looks to me like it's a new version issue not necessarily a Vista issue.
I checked it out because I was curious. I still can't upload pictures to the website right. I do them a couple at a time so it takes a while. I was hoping Firefox would help, but it doesn't work at all. 🙁
some of the support forums mention a problem with ZoneAlarm.

Our photo software, Gallery, is kind of flaky. Bill gave me a cd with all his Sierra Trek pictures and I've been working on loading them today. Sometimes it just hangs up but I suspect that's a Java problem. Sometimes I can log in just fine with either IE or Firefox, other times it doesn't seem to accept the userid/password. If I type in an incorrect password I get the red message saying it's the wrong password. If I type in the correct credentials it will just redisplay the login screen. Sometimes refreshing the main window will reveal that I'm actually logged in, other times it doesn't.

I'm thinking Java too. It doesn't seem to load completely, then it seems like it times out.
The site doesn't use Java, and the only Javascript I've seen is to open PM's in a new window.
I don't know if the gallery uses Java or Javascript since I don't have access.

The Gallery software we use for photos uses Java for the upload applet.

Automatic - Probably, had they offered a four speed overdrive in 01.

I'm using the Media Center Edition of XP. Could that be it?

lets see what version of Java you have installed.
open a cmd window ( click on start menu, then run then type in "cmd"<enter>
in the window, type "java -version" and tell me what version of java you are running.

It says:

I was looking at gallery, and it's likely a bug in their software.
It might be the version of Java you have is alot newer than what was expected.
I'm going to guess this isn't a firefox problem, but more of a Gallery-Java-Applet problem.

I figured I'd test Firefox on the new version of the board. Oddly enough, I can now access both versions just fine with Firefox. Does that mean that it is as buggy as a Microsoft product? 😀
