I've been thinking about trying it. Any security/privacy issues?

Fred,

no clue on security issues. It is based on the Mozilla core.

I'm seeing some layout glitches here and there, but I expect these will get cleaned up pretty quick.

gmail is alot faster (duh).

I downloaded it last night. It does seem to have some potential, but I do see some bugs. I think I'll stick with Firefox for a little while longer.

I do like the "most visited" thumbnail pages.

Does it have a spell checker? Alex can't change if there isn't some sort of spell check. 😀

I'll be staying with firefox for a long time as my development tools play very nicely with FF.

think of chrome being a shrink wrapped, turn key firefox with less knobs, buttons and controls.

I believe the next release of firefox will be equally speedy.

I think the repaint bug when inserting text is annoying me enough where I'll stop using chrome for a few days.

The macromedia and adobe plugins. I think most websites use the latest and greatest plugin versions for streaming video and or audio and when they comeout with new versions they dont support the ps3 browsers so about the only thing that works on the ps3 is older open source versions. The only thing that works flawlessly is the google videos and utube streams. im hoping sony will work with them in the future to fix this issue beacuse i like using the ps3 browser at home just before i pop in a blue-ray disk to play a game or watch a movie. 😀 .
