The boss approved the purchase of a GoPro Hero 3 Black Edition on the way home from Snow Patrol. We picked one up at REI and ran over to Fry's for a couple 64 GB sd cards. I've updated the firmware and downloaded the manual so far (but haven't read much of it). Any tips or tricks from the pro's that already have one? Any must-have accessories?

Well, I'm sure there are newer features with the 3 relative to the 1, which I have.
I don't know if I have useful tips for you, but I have my video settings set for 720p. I don't remember my SD card size, but yours is larger so you could handle more filesize @1080p is you wanted. You'll definitely benefit from the smart phone apps that can interface with the camera.
I have the roll bar mount, suction mount, tripod camera mount, and the assorted pack mounts for helmets/flat surfaces/etc. I lost my white dampener though. 🙁 Wonder if the H3 has that still?
That's all I can think of at the moment. I'm still very happy with mine as this April will be a year with it.
