I'd recommend joining Angie's List. It's relatively cheap for the "reputable" vendors there as it's based on actual reviews. There are also good deals that come out of it. It's been very helpful for me with our home out in CO.
I used a Handyman service, not that they are all bad, and never ever again. It will depend on the type of work though, moving dirt vs. electrical...hmmm

You own a jeep(winch, onboard air, highlift jack, some tools behind the seat)How hard could it be? You could probably have it removed faster than calling a professional. But you might want to call a realy good one afterwards.
