My family lives near Galveston, TX and could be hit by this hurricane. They're evacuating tomorrow morning just to be on the safe side. Most models have the hurricane hitting near New Orleans, but one shows it hitting further to the west.
I've been using this website for info
My brother told me about this site that got some pretty good maps & models.

The NHC is the best source since that is where everyone gets thier info.
It could hit any where along the watch area from Houston to the Florida/Alabama line.
I hope that this is nothing like Katrina in the way it happens. I always feel like I should be there when these things happen. It's good to know that the National Guard are there in some area allready. It also sounds like the coastal areas may be more prepared...maybe...

Last night my family had planned to evacuate this morning but are going to wait a while longer to decide what to do. This morning the forecasters are still calling for landfall near N.O. and the computer models have all shifted that direction.
The Houston area news stations are giving this a lot more focus than we're seeing here. If you want to see more, a couple of their websites are:

Maybe we will get lucky this time and it will level New Orleans. Problem with that is California will invite them all over here and give them welfare and they will never leave like last time...
