Just in case you were not aware, the Expo is from 1/19-22.

Also, as I will be needing to have my D30 re-geared shortly, I went into 4 Wheel Parts for a quote to do so. After it was worked up the counter man told me that if I have a ticket and parking stub for the ISE, the labor bill would be cut 50% ($225 in my case).

Wasn't sure who might know this.

Wow, that's a cool deal. Thanks for passing that along. I usually try to attend the Expo with my kids.

Out of curiosity, how much did they quote for re-gearing your axle?

I used to wheel a lot. . .

G2 gears (4.88) and O/H kit - 287
Oil and Frt - 16
Labor - 450
Out the door w/ taxes, etc --- $776.41

That is before 50% off labor and I did not tell them I was a member of GHP (10% on parts). So, hopefully, it will be closer to $525.

If so, figuring the D44 rearend I just closed the deal on, that'll give me (1) rebuilt front (now) and rear (3 years ago), (2) 4.88 gears, (3) posi in rear (for now), (4) disc brakes in rear (instead of drum) and (5) 1/4" diff cover in back for about $1250. I think that'll do pretty well for a while. mr-green

I wouldn't pass on getting a quote from Marc directly at 4wheelparts. He's been pretty good to the Posse club...

As the time gets closer, that's what I'll do. I just wanted a ball park as quotes have been all over the place. This was a "guy-off-the-street" quote.

Their "Guy Off the Street" quote seems reasonable. beer

Thanks for the tip here! I asked 4wheelparts about the labor discount, but they don't have a formal "sales flyer" out yet for this event. I'll buy my lift and have them install it if the labor discount follows through.

Lift? Are you changing your setup on your JK or did you get a new toy for X-mas?

This is only a small leveling kit for my Tundra, not anything for the jeep.

Nor did I. Probably need to go out with Brad and have him show me how to get a deal. 😀
