I have never done a dirt bike basket case before. It's an 05 Kawasaki KLR650, should be fun to get running. First step......I have no way to get it out of the trailer. lol lol lol (My military trailer is pretty tall and I used the previous owners ramp and a hill to load it).

Cool! I like those KLR650's. Why did the previous owner take it apart?

Looks like fun! I've done motorcycle re-builds before (Quad's actually).

I have always wanted one and he gave me an offer I couldn't refuse. 8)

He was replacing a fork seal and doing a major service and then a divorce happened and it has been sitting for a year.

It has 7000 miles on it and he swears the engine is fine. I bought it off my cousin so let's hope he is telling the truth and not trying to pull one over on his kin.

Do you have any special plans with it or are you just going to put it back together and run it?

I'll probably ride it a few times and give it to Dayna. It has a bunch of trick stuff plus 2 tote bins full of aftermarket doo-dads and new tires. There has to be at least a grand in extra parts here. 😯 My trailer and Jeep were FULL!

You'll hurt yourself on that thing. Much more dangerous than a Vespa.

I used to wheel a lot. . .

My other Kawasaki has over 100 horse power, this one has allot less. I'll probably be looking for more power all the time.

I rebuilt the front forks, fixed a dozen or so stripped fasteners, put it all back together, added fuel and it fired up. 😀 😀 I rode it around the block and everything works great. Now I have to tear it back down, fix some wiring, fix a few more stripped things, replace the chain, add a chain guide, adjust the valves, remove the hippie stickers, and I'll be good to go.

I didn't even think of that! I'm going to have to go run it before I sell it. 8)
