I was winching a pump into place today at work and when my Jeep started to drag, I pressed my brake pedal real hard and the right front brake line blew and the pedal went to the floor. 😯 I had a spare with me and some brake fluid and was back in business within 20 minutes. How lucky was I that this happened sitting while parked at work, rather than on the freeway or trail? I think I'm going to play the lottery tonight. 8)
After inspecting the brake line, it looks like it had been rubbing on something which caused some of the steel braids to come apart, which in turn was rubbing the rubber hose underneath. 😯
