I'm kind of home...
Ryland was born just like Alex said. Kelly's water broke Monday morning but she didn't have any contractions. Monday and Tuesday were probably two of the longest days of my life. They just couldn't get anything going and every horror story you hear about long labors is true. He was finally born just after midnight on Wednesday.
Kelly had it pretty rough but was finally discharged last night (Friday). He's still at the hospital because he has Jaundice pretty bad because of the long/rough labor. He was also "tongue tied" so he couldn't nurse. That was taken care of with a quick snip but it couldn't happen until today because there's only one doctor that could do it up here and she was gone. 🙄 They're letting Kelly stay at the hospital to feed him even though she has been formally discharged. I came home last night. With any luck everyone will be home tomorrow (Sunday) night. I am so tired of the hospital!
I left my camera at the hospital, but I'm headed back there and I'll try and get a picture up in the next day or so. You've never seen a kid with so much blond hair on his head. It's seriously longer than mine.
Oh yeah...we did have to take the 4Runner. We got 6-8" of snow at the house during the night. When we left none of the roads weren't plowed. I was in 4-low most of the way to the highway just trying to stay on the road. After that, it was 4 wheel drive all the way to the hospital. He's only a few days old but has already be 4 wheeling. 8) I was worried I was going to have to deliver him in the back.
