I was on my way up to Fordyce with Rob (in my Jeep), when just past Auburn I overheat4ed. Turns out I disintegrated my idler pulley. So, we fixed that, changed all my steering fluids, spark plugs, and radiator fluids and put on a new serpentine belt. All is good now 8)
Thanks for all the help Rob 8)
I used to wheel a lot. . .

A while back Scott had the same problem. At the time I wondered if it was because of eliminating the spring tensioned idler pulley when we put the York air compressor in. You also have the York compressor which leads me to the same question. Maybe the TJ idler pulleys don't handle the static belt tension well or maybe in the absence of the spring tensioner we just tend to tighten the belts more than is necessary.
