My Seahawks are a big question mark this year. They have flashes of being a good team but got blown out on opening day. Injuries are going to kill them. It's Mike's last year as head coach too.

The niners had five turnovers on opening day right? That is a lot of suck waiting to happen.

I'm not in a fantasy league this year so I'm not watching other teams as closely.

I'm sick of baseball.

I could start following college football.

Its going to be a long fall.

When does basketball season start?

Go Kings! I need to win more money and lunches off the Kings fans!

I'm in 2 leagues this year (I've cut back), and I have a Seahawks RB, so I'm rooting for John's team this year. I'm also rooting for several other teams as well.

The niners are a JOKE! Did anyone see GB play the Vikes? Remember that Aaron Rogers was drafted 24 spots behind Alex Smith and has 33 fewer starts. Rogers did match Smith's TD total from last year (in 1 game)!

I'm not making excuses (well sort of) for Alex Smith, but he got dealt a crummy hand. He's working under a terrible coach, terrible owner, no real QB leadership, not much receiver support, and an offensive line that couldn't stop me if I was blitzing. 😀 Rogers got to watch and learn from one of the greatest and has the support he needs. I'm not sure it's a fair side by side comparison.

And WR's!

I'm surprised my FFL roster in each league has avoided the injury bug so far.

The only Raider/49'r player I have is Javon Walker. I backed him up in week 1 with a Chargers player who bailed my team out!

from yahoo news

The franchise values of the Oakland Raiders and the San Francisco 49ers are among the lowest in the National Football League, according to Forbes 2008 team valuations.

The 49ers and Raiders ranked 30th and 31st, respectively, out of the 32-team league, with only the Minnesota Vikings, at No. 32, ranked lower.

Forbes valued the Oakland Raiders at $861 million, up 6 percent from a year earlier, with 2007 revenue of $205 million and operating income of $27 million.

The team is owned by Al Davis. A former assistant coach with the San Diego Chargers, Davis became head coach of Raiders for three seasons in 1963 and bought an initial stake in the team in 1966, becoming managing general partner.

That same year, Oakland opened at the Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum, now McAfee Coliseum. The Raiders played in Los Angeles from 1982 to 1994, and then returned to Oakland.

The 49ers are valued at $865 million, up 8 percent from a year ago. Forbes put the 49ers 2007 revenue at $201 million and operating income at $4.1 million. The team is owned by Denise DeBartolo York, whose family bought it in 1977. The 49ers first played in 1946.

Team values in the Forbes report are based on market size, brand management, stadium deals and the portion of the franchise’s contribution to the revenue shared among all 32 NFL teams.

Topping the 2008 list are the Dallas Cowboys (No. 1), the Washington Redskins (No. 2), the New England Patriots (No. 3), the New York Giants (No. 4) and the New York Jets (No. 5).

I have been a Raider fan for 32 years, so I guess I will have to side with them, as pathetic as they have been the past 5 years.

Yesterday, my wife wanted to plan a few things for today. I reminded her I was going to be watching the Raider game this morning and she replied "What for? To watch them loose again?" Sounds like she know the Raiders.

Though they did win today against a bad KC team.

That was a great game! The seahawks take a big lead and then give it away.

It looks like the 9'rs are going for the division crown!

Sounds like a typical Seahawks game. They sit on the lead and end up loosing it. Happened in the Super Bowl and last year's playoffs.
