I had a day off to spend some time relaxing. So what would be better then running the Rubicon trail. I set off at loon lake at 3pm Friday. When I got to buck island I ran into a mess of JKs. I was surprised to see Pjohn running the trail for the second time that week. I counted 6 rigs broken and getting strapped out, traffic was pretty crazy, and in a failed attempt to rescue a jeep and trailer that got too off camber we ended up winching the tong off the trailer. I hope he got it fixed? All in all a fun run, made it all the way through, off the trail by 12am.

I bunch of broken rigs? Pics would be great!
How did the truck do through that pinch in true big sleuce? Did you run the left line? Were you able to put tires on the rocks and avoid any damage?

Was Bill with you??!!
Or, was it Rick getting even!
I'd say he had more damage getting out of my jeep.....He darn near ripped those jeans in half. 🙂

We fixed the trailer tongue with some drill bits I brought with me and some surrounding campers tools. I made it to camp about 10 pm. I do not like wheeling in the dark alone. The guy with the trailer turned back to Buck Island. Thanks again for the help better a broken tongue than a rolled trailer.

Word is that there is no more tree/rock in the middle of Big Sluice.
Indeed that Old Wagoneer is awesome.
After you make that off camber left that big tree and rock is still there in the middle of the trail and after that there is a smaller tree rock squeeze.
