Speaking of critters in Loomis, I just recieved this message from my kids' school:

Last night around 2:30am there was a Mountain Lion Sighting close to Loomis Grammar School. The Sheriff's were called and verified that it was real. It weighed approximately 90lbs and was up in a tree sleeping. This message is for precautionary reason only and that you are aware of the situation. If you do see the mountain lion please contact Fish and Game at 916-445-0380 or the Sherriff's department. Again, this is just an informational meesage so that you are aware and that you take extra care when small children are playing in the yard. I will update you with information if I receive any. Thanks, Rick Judd-Principal

I am sure they will trap and kill it if it was on school grounds...

Maybe they'll take it to a petting zoo - like Pelican Bay.

Any other details about what they did about it? I know mountain lions are protected, but it would seem they would do something about it if it's stalking around a grammar school.

they say if you see spots in a picture that its some sort of spirit or ghost. i think theres plenty of spirits protecting the children so theres nothing to worry about.

Either "they" are nuts or I'm in trouble. This is under my house during a recent home improvement project. Do I need to call Ghost Busters?

Filling it in. I'm really looking forward to not having to go under my house at 2 in the morning to get the siphon going to pump it out when it rains. 1,500 lbs of concrete and all the spare dirt I can track down should do the trick. I can even put the insulation that the idiots took out of the floor back so my bedroom isn't freezing.

That sure does answer a lot of questions...now I know why an easy trail like Strawberry causes so much damage 😯
