I still think we need a fly sishing section 😛

Anyways, it has come down to two choices for me:

The Patagonia is a very high quality boot with a high price tag. Around $150.

The Cabela's brand is also a good quality boot (not as nice as the Patagonia) but has a much lower price tag. Around $50.

Both are a light weight boot. Both have good construction. Both are made from the same materials. The Patagonia has more arch support and is a little bit lighter. Most of the fly fishing guides wear the Patagonias. But, is it worth the extra $100?

I know nothing about wading boots, but I'm a believer in buying good shoes in general.

I recently went the cheap route when I bought some new hiking boots. They're not near as good or comfortable as the more expensive ones I had.

No John, it's not. Hodgman also has some nice affordable ones like the Bantam Weight for about $60

Hodgman don't fit my feet. They are too wide and have no arch support.

How about buying the $50 pair, then geting some Dr Scholl's for $10?

We are often chased by bears, mountain lions, and naturalists. I have to keep ahead of Rob 😀

I really like these. I find the flowers really add traction. They're the MTRs of the river. 😎

Plus you can get 25 pair for $50. That way you can get different patterns and switch them out along with you flies to see which combo brings those fish in! 😀
