The website is up on our new hosting company. Let me know if you run into any problems or broken links. You can send me a PM or email at ad***@******x4.org .

FYI) I did a global change of all occurrences of "posse4x4.com" and "posse4x4.net" to "posse4x4.org" in the database extract. This should have prevented any broken links within the database. The downside is if we were actually discussing the .com or .net domain names that would have been changed, so the content of those discussion may seem a little confusing.

Excellent! Now I can make new interest cards to hand out at the club meeting!

Some avatars don't seem to be working, but that's an easy fix! It was time for a new one anyway. 😀

Thanks for getting the change over taken care of!

I'll check on the avatars. I hadn't noticed that before.

Avatars are fixed. I'm not sure why, but not all of the avatar image files got copied over.

Edit) After thinking about it, I do know why it happened. I thought all "dynamic" data for the forums was stored in the database not in the regular files. I used a little older version of the regular files to build the new site. The pointers to the avatar files were in the database, but the files themselves didn't exist on the server. I copied the files from the old server to the new server so we should be fine now.

Thanks guys.

In case anyone's interested, we ended up going with GoDaddy's Deluxe plan and signed up for 3 years which works out to a pretty decent annual cost. Performance is so much better than Dot5's.

When I was downloading a final copy of the website from Dot5 it was running at about 22 KB/second. Uploading to GoDaddy varied between 100-350 KB/second. Quite a difference.

Next is to upgrade the forum software to a current version. 😀
