Why not refill them and use them again? Are you just using milk jugs? Or are you talking about the containers that the oil comes in? I always just drained them well and threw them in with the regular recycling.

the ones the new oil comes in.

seems like it would mess up the regular recycle.

Oh, and I use kitty litter jugs. They hold about 8 quarts and have a huge spout.

you know in think i would wash those containers, put the dirty water in a larger container which will be picked up by BFI and then put them in the recycle bin.
