The Carnegie SVRA General Plan and Final EIR are being considered for adoption.  After being purchased in 1998 the Carnegie expansion area is finally up for public use.  Anti OVH groups have been stalling this project for years and burying the OHV division with mountains of paperwork from paid consultants.  (there are literally thousands of pages of public comments with many saying "XYZ Firm was paid buy ABC Enviro/Parks/Wildlife group to review this EIR")  Hopefully this plan and EIR will be adopted.

The meeting is being held on a work day.  If anyone can get off work to attend and show support they should.

Thanks Kris for keeping track of this progress. Work will get in the way for me, but perhaps Lynda may be able to attend. This is an important issue & hope others can find the time to attend as well.

Approved 7 to 0!!!

Lawsuits incoming but forward progress.  Since approval in the 1980s and final property purchase in 1998, it only took 18 years to get the Environmental Impact Report approved.  At this rate the 4x4 area will be completed some time around my retirement.

Kris,

As I said, I'm super sorry I didn't make it to this, but so glad it passed.  I thought I was going to have time Friday to go but getting ready for the camp trip was very time consuming.  Thanks for all you do and keeping us informed.  If there is anything i can help you do or represent us with let me know!
