Some of my fabrications and the build of my CJ5. Yes, it only has 33's but it can keep up with most jeeps running 37's and has recovered a few from Barrett Jeep Trail - just saying
I bought it 20yrs ago (street Jeep), as I modified it to do things it wouldn't before it became something I tow to trails or drive around town.
About 10yrs ago I parked it and let it rot away ... This last year I decided I wanted to get back into wheeling so I started replacing everything that went bad (complete wiring, tires, fuel tank, carburetor, gauges, brakes etc...) I figured since I was fixing it I would change a few thing, like redoing the shock mounts, adding lights, snorkel & the Cerakote FDE paint job.
Here are some images of the last time I wheeled it (traffic jam at walker hill) when it was red & then some progression images after sitting.

I love it, i started wheeling with a 1953 M38A1. Manual Steering , brakes etc. The Rubicon beat me up until I upgraded. Even did the little sluice with it before it grew house size boulders. In fact a i just saw a Jeep run this year with a group all running old Willy's jeeps. Congrats on the project.
